September 2023 Newsletter

September Meeting

We had a great meeting on September 11. David Landers did a great job of helping us understand how to think out of the box and how to use bowtie inserts (pewas) for both structure repair and for decorative purposes on turned hollow forms. I have been putting a lot of thought into making and using bowtie inlays since Dave’s demo.

Members have received a link to the demo. There is a resource page available for download that includes where to purchase items used to make the inlays. Click here.

Board

We have at least one board member whose term is due to expire at the end of 2023. If you are willing to serve on the board, please talk to Tony Rozendaal. See last month’s news article re Tony’s tenure on the board. The only way a club like MAWT can survive and thrive is through members who take a turn in leadership positions.

Questionnaire

MAWT Members will very shortly be receiving an email with a link to a Members Questionnaire. Please take some time and fill out the questionnaire so we can incorporate your thoughts and ideas into plans for the future of MAWT.
