Thanks to all of you who have supported cutting and making bowl blanks for empty bowls. A number of members came to my property on August 12 and 13 and we milled and cut bowl blanks and wrapped them in plastic wrap. We ended up with well over 100 bowl blanks in black walnut, black cherry, sugar maple and red elm.
Many of those blanks have been passed out to a number of our members. However, we still have many left to pass out. There are approximately 10 each of the cherry and the sugar maple, and about 30 of the black walnut. These should be rough turned and sealed with the idea of making Empty Bowls for 2023. There is a lot of the red elm left but it needs to be milled and cut into blanks.
If you want any of these blanks, contact me and I can make arrangements to meet you or I can bring them to the next meeting.
