Empty Bowls – Milwaukee – Spring Activities

For MAWT, the deadline to turn bowls in for Empty Bowls is at the September meeting. Click on the link to read more about Milwaukee Empty Bowls. Their annual fundraiser for 2018 is on October 14.

Bowls turned for Empty Bowls should be roughly the size of a soup bowl, and must be able to hold soup. Information that I have received from Empty Bowls implies that cracked bowls are discarded and not made available for purchase. Natural edge bowls are discouraged. Finishes should be food safe. Finishes containing polyurethane (for example) should be given plenty of time to cure before the bowl is submitted.
